“As part of the project, we planned to decorate one of our classrooms at the Faculty of Forestry in Zvolen with portraits of important Slovak inventors. From among several portrait artists, we decided to realize our project with the young artist Petra Boldog.  Based on the period photographs and images provided, she painted ten portraits in oil. She excellently captured the appearance, expression, and characteristic features of their faces. She creatively complemented the portraits with clothing appropriate to the period in which they lived. The paintings are perfectly tonally balanced. This is how the “gallery of the first Slovak engineers” was created in the classroom, which gives the younger generation a realistic idea of our important ancestors who significantly advanced scientific and technical progress, and their era. Based on these positive experiences, my wife and I decided to have the talented artist Petra Boldog paint portraits of our parents and grandparents, which now adorn our living room.”
