Picture in Fire
“I asked Petra for a painting with a dragon. I had a vision of a dragon connected with mountains and sunset. These are symbols that resonate with me. I sent Petra a few pictures of dragons to give her an idea of what I had in mind, saying that I would like it to have its wings spread and be sitting on top of a mountain, with other mountains and the sunset visible behind it. Petra captured it perfectly and with sensitivity. I had no idea what the painting would look like the whole time; she said she would finish the work and then I would see it when I picked it up. The painting took my breath away and brought so many positive emotions after seeing it. It is beautiful, a well-conceived work with all the details and aspects that I didn’t even mention, but were there. Petra really has talent and sensitivity, and I am grateful that this beautiful work now adorns my bedroom.“
